On October 17, 2007 rapper Gangsta Brikz was arrested in the city of Mesa for public intoxication & minor-marijuana possession while he & fellow rapper Lukca .45's were sitting in a car parked outside in front of a friend's residence. Since he was already on probation for another incident that took place back in early 2004, it has been determined that he shall remain in police custody for his violation until the sentencing hearing which has been scheduled for December 14, 2007. If convicted, he will face up to 2-5 years in prison. His reps from KONYAK Productions were not available to comment at this time but have reportedly initiated a "FREE GANGSTA BRIKZ" campaign in order to support him with lawyer fees and financial assistance while he remains incarcerated. His long awaited debut album, "Murda He Wrote", from his record label, HomeGrown Entertainment Group, also has yet to be released.

Police Raids Konyak Recording Studios!
Apr 11, 2008
On October 31, 2006 rappers Lukca45, G. Kraze Capone and Don P. Santino of hip-hop group Tha KONYAK, were detained and later questioned by authorities for a crime that took place weeks prior in the city of Gilbert, Arizona on suspicion of kidnapping, armed robbery, and aggravated assault charges resulting from a home invasion. At approximatley 6:15 a.m. Gilbert Police raided the offices/studios of HomeGrown Entertainment Group, located in the city of Mesa, and confiscated all personal and business related property such as: computers, financial records, shoes, clothing, drug paraphanelia, and $7,500 in cash from the premises. 4 hours later Lukca45 and G. Kraze Capone were released from police custody after questioning. However, label executive, Don P. Santino was arrested and booked at the Mesa City Jail on unrelated charges for a warrant stemming from a previous incident that had occured earlier this year involving him in a confrontation with 3 other police officers when he was then arrested and convicted of disorderly conduct for spitting on a police vehicle. On the following day, he was arraigned then released on his own recognizance and ordered to pay $400 for failure to pay fines. While all 3 members maintain their innocence of the crime in question, a spokesman from HomeGrown Ent. Grp. also stated, this is just an unfortunate situation to have happen for these talented individuals and they definitely appreciate all the love and support received from their families, friends, and fans of their music. With their property still being witheld for further examination by police, it is uncertain if upcoming projects, "KON$!+ Vol. 2" or the debut album from rap artist Gangsta Brikz titled "Murda He Wrote", will still be released on schedule as planned. Detective Paul Van Horn of the Gilbert Police Department, who is in charge of this case, declined to comment as it is said to still be an ongoing investigation...
