(born February 15, 1981 in Burlington, Ontario) is a Canadian musician, best known as the drummer for the rock band Kill Matilda. As a child Pynner was a model, actor and pretty successful ventriloquist. But it was as a teenager that he discovered music as his true passion. While all his friends bought electric guitars, Pynner insisted on being different, and tried the drums. Instantly a life-time long love affair began. The drummers who most inspired him were Primus' Tim Alexander and the late John Bonham from Led Zeppelin. During the main-stream explosion of electronic music in the late 90s, Pynner became a listener of The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, The Prodigy and Fatboy Slim. This led to his interest in producing his own music. His first studio was a 4-track Fostex Portistudio in the basement of his family home. The first Pynner album was an experimental cassette which he sold to his classmates. After receiving his diploma for Audio Engineering in 2001, Pynner began traveling the world, including several years in Japan, Australia, and Vancouver where he met Mykel and Dusty Exner from Kill Matilda. He now lives in Montreal drumming for Kill Matilda and producing music of many genres.
