An emcee, a publicist, a self promoter, a
booking agent, a movie producer, an author, a
father, a publicist, a visionary. This is the many
faces of the man that come to be known the
hardest working man in hip hop to never be
signed.
From Compton, Ca, Quanstar was originally
exposed to hip hop at the age of 7 with his first
cassette tape, “Radio” by LL Cool J, and
instantly became a certified head. Seven years
later he began honing his skills battling everyone
and anyone who thought they were an
emcee.
Quanstar is a trip to the early ‘90’s, the
Golden Age of Hip Hop. He paints vivid
pictures with conscious, heartfelt lyrics which
is a feat that few can achieve in the current hip
hop arena that is now saturated with ”bling and
booty”. Quanstar’s approach is to bring hip hop
back to where it used to be...about the people.

Quanstar confirmed for Warped Tour

Quanstar, Evaready RAW, and Metrognome are playing the Code Of The Cutz/ Skull Candy Mix Hip Hop Stage of The Vans Warped Tour on Wednesday July 9th at Hi Fi Buys Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA. It will be there second performance in such years. The trio will be sharing the stage with “indie” hip hop juggernauts like Dante, Culture Shock Camp, and European rapper Piotta. In addition, they will be at The Drunken Unicorn/MJQ Concourse for the stage’s after party which will double as the release party for Ghani Gautama’s long awaited solo debut, “Give ‘em Enough Hope”. Local hip hop heavyweights Dropbombz, Tea Bag da Herbalist of The Greasekydz, Adam Bomb will be joining in on a night of celebration. “Do It!: A Documentary”, a six month account into the life of Quanstar directed by Anthony Neal, will be screening at The Art Institute of Atlanta on Friday July 25th, Landmark’s Midtown Arts Cinema on Thursday August 7th, and The University of Arizona on Wednesday September 24th. The movie’s trailer has had over 14,000 views in 18 days on Myspace.com (www.myspace.com/quanstar) and over 66,000 views at Soundclick.com (www.soundclick.com/quanstar).
