Working Hard
Since 1995 Coyote Music has promoted 1,624 Events, 902 Artists, 532 Venues, and 20 Festivals through our 457 Reviews, 233 Articles, Interviews & Press Releases and 230 Videos with help from 38 People and 22 Organizations in 424 Cities spanning 23 Genres. Not bad, huh?
The Beginning
Coyote Music was founded by Wiley Koepp in Austin, Texas in 1995 as a management company and booking agent for two unsigned bands, 3 Penny Opera and megalo. Over the next five years the company took on the roll of an indie record label, releasing several demos and full-length albums, promoting shows, creating marketing campaigns and accepting demos from new artists for future projects.
The 2000s
Since 2000, Coyote Music shifted its focus toward promoting the careers of talented musical artists all over the world. Our projects have included writing album/performance reviews, event promotion, artist management, musical instruction, running workshops to help bands hone their live shows and creating online promotional campaigns.
Festivals
In 2012 we built a Festivals promotion arm of Coyote Music. We can promote multi-day, multi-city events with impeccable organization and detail. Our inaugural Viva Big Bend coverage included 52 artists, 28 shows, 10 venues, and 3 cities in one easily navigable microsite within our own.
Etc.
Branching out a bit more, we worked with Baltimore's Black Angel Down to create a detailed marketing plan for their tour and related promotional efforts. That plan ultimately led to our helping them foster a booking agreement with Brooklyn-based Entour Entertainment.
