Hailing from the borough that has birthed some of the best rappers to put pen to paper and mouth to mic,Wordspit holds his own with ease. Raised by a young mother, who overcame addiction without the presence of a street-hustling musician as a father, he made his imagination his refuge. Since the third grade, Spit’s fluid freestyles and uncanny metaphors have moved from the lunchroom, on tables and over trays, to the corner with his boys keeping the beat, to the lights of center stage. Citing Canibus, Jay-Z , and Nas as his influences, his lyrical style mirrors their greatness while allowing the essence of who he is as an M.C. to out shine the competition.
