Mala Reignz is best known for her complicated rapping style, punchlines and larger than life presence on and off stage. Her skills landed her on Ali Vegas' Mixtape "Leader of the New School" Hosted by Statik Selektah (also makes an appearance in Vegas' new video "That's Nothin" (prod. by Scott Storch) shot in Miami, Fl. in Lamar Odom's mansion). Mala's talent was recognized by the legendary Rocksteady Crew and was asked to perform in the female cipher at their 31st year anniversary concert along with the likes of KRS-1, FAT JOE, DJ PREMIER, BAHAMADIA, ICE-T and many more well established artists.
Her debut music video, BX TIL I DIE was picked up by the cable network MUSIC CHOICE which aired nationwide in rotation with some of today's biggest artists e.g. Madonna, Ne-Yo, Lil Wayne etc. Mala was one of the first unsigned artists to be featured on the video channel at that time. Word spread quickly and BX TIL I DIE was soon added to the legendary VIDEO MUSIC BOX by Ralph McDaniels himself.
Mala has been consistently performing and appearing on mixtapes both nationally and internationally including a feature on The Pink Carpet Mixtape hosted by DJ VLAD. Also featured in the most recent DIGIWAXX All Female Cypher hosted by Mc Lyte.
Mala has also performed at Sutra, The Knitting Factory, S.O.B's, Santos Party House, Bowery Poetry Club, EOW, The Pyramid, Crash Mansion & Talay just to name a few!
Mala dropped her first EP titled 'THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM' on January 29, 2010 and since has been receiving consistent radio airplay from New York City to the South of France.
