In 1997 Claude Dale Rhodes who does business as Clyde C. Strong started an Entertainment Organization called Strong Arm Family in the Borough of Chambersburg Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Los Angeles California, Clyde joined the Army in 1980. His sixteen and half years of service afforded him an opportunity to travel to different parts of the world, experience different cultures and to meet people from all walks of life. As a child, growing up in Los Angeles Clyde never lived in any one place for more than a year until he and he and his family moved to Pomona California where he lived for six years. That is why he is sometimes puzzled and asked the question; "Out of all the places he has been, why would he get stuck in this Borough of Chambersburg"? All he could do was to put his trust in God and know that God has a plan for him. For that reason he tells himself that everything that happen to cause him to still be living in Chambersburg happened for a reason.
In view of all the things that were taking place in Clyde's life lead him to believe that he seriously needed to take inventory of his skills and talents. Clyde has always been a firm believer in that old adage that, "Anything the mind can believe it can achieve". Moreover, he believed what he had been told all his life, "that he could be whatever he wanted to be". Inspired by the success of a hometown friend from Pomona, Mario "Choc" Johnson, Clyde decided that he wanted to be in the music business.
Clyde started his first recording studio at 240 South Fourth Street in Chambersburg where he would invite people that he met on the streets to recording sessions. In the beginning everything was freestyle, nobody wrote anything. Once Clyde told them that, they had to start writing complete songs the crowd got thin. After hours of discussions about how to format a song and how to count bars, beats were made and songs were recorded as Clyde turned to the administration side. Clyde started reading about the music business and felt that if he produces something good just maybe his friend from Pomona Choc would help him out. Clyde started ordering different books and literature that explained the music business and started following the guidelines for developing artist.
He started calling booking agents and venues and was always asked the question where have the artist performed and what type draw could they produce? The artist had never performed so the agents called them local and to get back at them after we established ourselves. The artist had never performed so Clyde started organizing talents shows, rap battles and showcases. This gave Clyde a chance to search for new talent while allowing the artist that he was already dealing with an opportunity to display their talent. Agents were asking for press kits so Clyde started writing press releases for everything Strong Arm Family did form Talents Shows to Album releases.
First release was a cassette tape in 1999 by and Artist name William Houser titled Cap'pe'ton "The Coming of Black Hand Soldier" In 2000 he release the Chamber "The Gift of Speech" With Rasool Mason, Ryan Statum and Daniel King.
