CARRIOR was founded in 2004 by the band's chief songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, seth(crazy animal hit squad), after his grauation from NYU film school with a concentration in film music. The original goal of Carrior was to present it's audience with a noisy, experimental punk sound that captured the dynamics and inspiring elements of cinematic scoring. Over the next couple of years, the band grew as a project, and finally solidified as a four piece in 2005. The band quickly garnered a decent local hype and played all over town until the spring of 2006. At that time, both original guitarist Chris(pka Chris Cunnngham) and Seth found themselves homeless, and former drummer, Paul(of Figure 1) was forced to leave the band for financial reasons.
This set of circumstances probably should have killed the act. Instead, Seth took a construction job back East and spent the evenings of spring 2006 recording demos of 50 new tracks and recording a solo album(The Bones Of Industry, 2006). After a stretch at LA Recording School, and some session and producer work, Seth brought some new musicians on board, most notably, keyboardist and co-arranger, Charlotte(fmr. Men Women and Children), drummet Matt(Berkle percussion) and bassist Dylan(fmr. War Wagon, The Like) to demo a new full length that is larger, and more accessible than any of the bands former work, but hopefully maintains a grain of the band's DIY ethic.
