I started playing drums when I was shorter yet (9 yrs. old). I came up through school bands learning the all important rudiments by playing marching snare. I had the once in a lifetime pleasure of travelling to Europe with my high school band. We participated in the annual Youth and Music Festival in Vienna Austria. I saw Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbrook, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, etc. AND we took 3rd place. The 3rd best band in the World! Not bad! I was only 16 yrs. old. It was awesome. I'll never forget it! Any way, I came up listening to all the greats; Rush, Van Halen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Bl;ack Sabbath, etc. Learning timing, working on chops, odd times and all that. Then I had the pleasure of becoming a part of the local Metal scene. I played with Worhead, Cryonax and numerous cover bands, even Country (for the money-gotta have a change every now and then.) ! AND, I'll never forget my brush with greatness. Jamming with Jason Newsted in the Metallica years when he was home for Christmas. So that brings us to now. Chronicling all the music that actually made it to a recording studio. It's still a big part of my life and I want to share it with anybody who's interested.

Hey Don! I found you via a search for Cryonax. I really love hearing these songs again, I lost my Cryonax tape in a move about 8 years ago. A very good friend of mine from my middle school/high school days gave me a white tape, with blue-ish writing on it, mostly faded at that point, and almost completely faded the last time I saw it.. it was a 5 song i think demo tape .. any chance you might have that music hiding somewhere still? I recently found out that friend of mine is no longer with us, and have been nostalgic to hear that tape that he gave me again .. \m/
