I bring a different style to the hip hop genre. Instead of the mainstream commercialized lyrics you're probably used to, I only spit truth. I want to bring God glory with my music and use my gifts as a tool for ministry. A lot of kids grow up in one enviornment and are taken to others for school and even church. These children feel like they can't fit in and teachers/preachers don't know how to reach them. This was the case for my friends and I. We lived in a low income area but went to a "rich" school, and the church we attended, because they came and picked us up, was full of people that couldn't relate to us. I thought if I wanted to be a part of this church I would have to change everything about me, my clothes, hair, speech, everything. No one told me that Jesus accepts everyone the way that they are. I didn't know I could still be me. I just want to show kids there is a way to overcome all the struggles life hands you, and that you are never alone. God is always there, even when you think He's not, that's usually when He's the closest. And adults monitor what your kids are listening to, who they're hanging out with, and just talk to them. I know a lot of my friends still listen to mainstream rap, they say "oh I just like they beat" but music effects people. They say they only like the beat yet they know every word to the song. An most of these songs are vulgar and hateful. The attitudes expressed in these songs are passed from the artist to the listener.
