Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Fame relocated to Toronto
during the dawn of 90s hip hop. Taking the music route
from a young age, Fame’s expression of hip hop grew
from authentic influences.
How things have changed…Nickles is the change back.
In a time where a rapper’s image and financial status
attract fans more than lyrics and creative production,
Fame Nickles has refused to dumb it down.
His songs speak of a global struggle –
from the streets of Toronto to the avenues of Zimbabwe.
The knowledge dropped in dimes like "A New World"
and "No Runnin From This" touch on topics many
willingly choose to stay ignorant about.
A truth music advocate now headquartered on his
own project, Fame is focused on his solo introduction
to a rap public unprepared for a genuine artist.
