From early childhood Ebony has been in the spotlight. Born the eldest of six children, from a young age Ebony had to be the one to set examples, whether by being a good student or singing his heart out in church. He was born in the small town of Seaford, Delaware and moved to the bustling metropolis of Washington D.C. in the late 80’s.
The change in environment helped to shape the man he is today. He was able to see people from so many different places and this helped him to develop his style. In a world where so many people from different races and creeds come together there is only one language that all understand. That language is love. That is what Ebony’s music is about. His philosophy is, “Of all the instruments, the voice is the most haunting, the most expressive. The voice is the sound closest to our soul. We remember voices with chilling recall. The voice of a lover echoes in our ear long after the love is gone. He captures the essence of love and romance in its many stages and presents them in a way that is truly felt in one’s soul.
His voice is like velvet on one’s skin. His lyrics are both truthful and prolific. He is an enormously talented man who not only sings, but composes and produces most of his own music. Listening to him is like feeling a lover’s fingers on one’s skin.
