CJ developed a love for music from an early age, taking piano lessons, studying music theory and playing bass guitar in number of bands with his friends. However his real passion lay in mixing and creating music which led him to strike a path of his own.
After hearing Roni Size’s “Brown Paper Bag” CJ knew he wanted to start writing DnB tracks. A move to university in 2002 catapulted him deep into the music scene, and picked up a residency spot DJing at University along with offers to DJ at the big clubs in Birmingham.
CJ’s production is fuelled by many different musical styles but his sound is firmly centred around the more soulful, atmospheric and musical sides of DnB.
