In the 80's, played in Portland cover bands making a pretty good living. Then I had a family and got a real job. After taking some years off, I played with weekend trios (blues, R&B, country, etc.) until about 7 years ago (been running two of my own businesses).
I'm well-versed in acoustic styles (fingerpicking, open tunings, etc.) and my electric chops are old school. Influences include Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Duane Allman, Steve Gadd (yeah, I'm a drummer, too), Mark Knofler, Chet Atkins, BB, etc.
Play a 80's Strat through a Mesa Boogie Mark-IIB that I bought new while on the road in the late 70's. Slide guiter is an Ibanez Musician, acoustic is a Guild D-55 that I bought used in '73.
So, now I'm a drummer at last, playing any and all styles I can get to and woodshedding like crazy. Doing a blues trio with my friend Blind Ray. There's a compilation of a rehearsal snippets.
