DR.Z is a Detroit native and lifelong musician. He grew up during the most influential time in music: the ‘60's. In his earlier days, DR.Z. spent most weekends at the Eastown and Grande Ballroom fixating on all the great acts that performed at these venues—including The Stooges, Procol Hurum, MC5, Bob Segar and countless others. DR.Z played drums with many garage bands over the years, turning his attention to synth in the ’70’s, when Moog made a big impact on him. For 9 years, DR.Z played with MANCAT & the HIGHWAY TRASH BAND, in addition writing the band’s musical and some of the lyrical content. He also composed the soundtrack for the independent film "The Mongol King". In 2008, he joined forces with Jane Bled. Together, they created LOVEZEN, for which DR.Z played/composed the keys/beats and music.
After the breakup of LOVEZEN, DR.Z started his solo album. He is in his private studio recording and writing new material, he is also remastering Mancat & the Highway Trash Band music putting them to video and uploading them onto youtube.
