Im'prov, commonly reffered to as "Prov", is a versatile rapper from Cleveland's inner-city neighborhood of King Kennedy Housing. Born Leon Carter, in August of 1987, he grew up listening to the likes of 2pac, Master P and Aaliyah to name a few. His modern day influences are Ludacris, Lil Wayne, T.I., Young Dro and Busta Rhymes. Though he began rapping at age 12 he didnt have any intentions to pursue a career as an artists until around the Age of 16 when he met the group Kings of Spittin' (KOS) which he is currently an active member of. He has been off and on with his attempts at Stardom due to personal reasons such as the Death of his long-time friend William Shepherd (who was also a very talented artist), the death of his Grandmother Delores Wilson, and teenage hassles such as school and growing up in an urban community. Now he's back with new tracks, new lyrics, and the same unmistakeable swagger. Prov, Talented, focused and very hungry, hopes to have a strong year and take the Cleveland Music scene by storm! Im'prov doesnt really sound like anyone in particular because he has a unique mixture of being a northern rapper with a southern voice. Meaning that his song concepts and flow structure are that of a northern rapper but his voice sometimes sounds as though he's from the south. A unique combination indeed!
