"Two Days Old" is another great poem by Mike Puhallo. There are two versions to this song. The first is the short version and the second is the complete version. Jeane Prescott is interested in this song for her next CD project we hope she is serious and includes it on her next release. It would make Mike and I proud to have this artist pick up this song. I have a great story about Jeane and Gary Prescott about the time we were booked at the Kamloops, Canada show. Seems neither had a passport. Jeane somehow did not get checked, but they threw Gary off the plane in Texas. He had to go back home and dig up his birth certificate to get on the plane to Kamloops. He made it to Kamloops on Saturday night about 15 minutes before he has scheduled on stage.

"Cowboy Poetry/Connected" What can I say, these are some great poets. This is by Jane Morton and it would be great if you stopped by her page at cowbowpoetry.com and left her a note. I met Jane at the Columbia River Cowboy Gathering In the Tri-Cities, WA in 2006 and I asked her for her "Cowboy Poetry" (she had just written it) the other day I found the scrap of paper she had written it on and I sat down and wrote the music. Now that piece of sratch paper is framed on the wall of my recording studio.

I was sitting in the studio about 3:00Am and someone had sent me this great silly poem. That chipmunk voice came out and we did the song.

"The Grand Ronde" is a poem by my good friend C. Ray. He grew up in these mountains and knows every trail up there. He is going to show me the cave that Chief Joseph may have been born in this summer. He wrote a great book with short stories of the area and some great poems also.

Mike Logan is a great artist. He not only writes, but he paints and photographs and is an all around entertainer from Montana. Please look up some other works that he has done. I just wrote the music for this great poem.

"Sopilote" is an instrumental that I diid while trying to emulate a "Ventures" sound. I had just run sound for Bonnie Guitar at the Lewiston, ID Elks Club and while visiting with her I found out that the Ventures group had recorded their songs at her studio. One of the melody lines in that tune was written by Wayne Nelson. We tried to write some lyrics to the tune and we only found a new melody line that Wayne thought of. The reason I put Tammy in the title is that I wanted Tammy Gislason to play a mandolin part in the song. She is in Pigeon Forge Tenn. on an extended tour (3 years) and we never did get her mandolin in the mix. Someday we will get her back and we will finish the cut.

"Una Paloma" is a song my mother sang. I have never heard it anywhere else. I remember this song because my sister Mary Lou would cry every time my mother sang this son to us. Thank you for adding this to your station.

One of the classic poems by my good friend Wayne Nelson from American Falls, ID. This has beed a must hear poem by Wayne Nelson at any cowboy gathering. The last stanza has been dropped by Wayne, but I felt it needed to be in there.

Thank you for the air time. "50's Just A Number was written by Mike Puhallo out of Canada. He helps to put on one of the grandest cowboy gatherings in Kamloops, Canada that you will ever see. I just added the break and wrote some music to it and we had a great song. Thank you for your interest I appreciate it.

Thank you for adding "Crossing the Divide" to your station I appreciate the airtime. Please check back and watch for more poems and lyrics that I will be working with through the year. Most of these works are from some awesome writers that I work with. I am working with Jane Morton right now and I expect some great results. She has just won another award. You may want to check her out on the net if you like poetry.

Hi Basil, How are you doing my dear friend? I thank you for adding more of my songs to your station! I am so grateful for your support, and I wish you a really nice week! Love,Dave
There is a song that I wrote for Boise State University in 2010 that is on the soundclick charts often. The song is "El Norte" with lyrics by Amando Alvarez and my music arrangement. Sure would appreciate it if you could give it a listen to see if it is good enough to add to your station. I certainly appreciate the work you do for all the artists and wish you the best. God Bless
