13 years and 31 albums later, I have finally decided to retire the Instrumental Chaos saga. This music has been a huge part of my life, and although I am extremely pleased with how it has turned out, I have moved on to something that has been an even bigger part of my life. For nearly 2 and a half decades, my one true musical passion has been heavy metal, and now I am actually contributing to the scene by joining the northern California metal band Serpent & Seraph. After only a few weeks with the group, I feel more at home than ever before and to further elevate my anticipation, I'm going to be playing live with other bands I have personally been a fan since of childhood. Not to mention getting some experience with performing live and being able to travel places I wouldn't have the means to visit otherwise. I.C. was a fun project but it ultimately lead to nowhere other than a brief reception from personal friends and people on the internet. This SoundClick page, along with my other websites, will remain up and all available songs are still free to download. Thanks to all friends and supporters who helped make this experiment an enjoyable one....Brian M.
New update!: I've been planning to upload the entire catalog of Instrumental Chaos, only wanted to wait until the old stuff was remastered. Since that isn't going to happen for a while, I decided to post the originals so my listeners can hear the evolution of IC over the past 10 years. Over 200 songs have recently been added from album #1 to the present (making the current total 300+), and though most of these are old, and occasionally poor mix jobs, they're still listenable & will definitely be remixed sometime down the road. In the meantime, hope you'll enjoy some classic material as well as the new sounds of chaos :) Stay tuned for more music soon! B
