ARTIST COMMENTS: Face in the Mirror: This is a really strange one. I don't know exactly what I was writing about, but it sounds like guilt. This one was penned when I was 17 or 18.
SOUNDCLICK FAM COMMENTS: "Face in the Mirror" by Retrograde Pop: Rock intro was fun, as were structure and lyrics. This track put a smile on this listeners face, and several chuckles with ease. The swaggering style, both vocally and in instrumentation, together with bubble effects and a toe-tapping beat scheme was simply too much for this one listener to sit during play. Loved the bubble-bloop at the end.

SOUNDCLICK FAM COMMENTS: "Blink of an Eye" by Lynn Carey Saylor: Excellent female vocal matches superbly with the rock instrumentation, and a structure to reel this listener with every verse and chorus. Retail quality and sound perfectly suitable for cranking the volume up on any stereo system -- particularly one with four wheels and the top rolled down careening wildly down pavement, lending a wink to anyone who were to pull up alongside you. Lyrical content easy to relate with upon first listen, with great depth provided to most any listener seeking same. A superb listen.

SoundClick FAM - June 2007
Artist: Silvertrain
Vocals: Richie
SOUNDCLICK FAM COMMENTS: Great pop-rock intro with excellent vocals to reel in almost any toe-wriggling listener. Love the lyrics -- the chorus was very catchy, as was the structure, with the rise and fall from verse to chorus. Excellent lyrics -- simply can't say enough good things about them -- specific, detailed, and easy for nearly anyone to relate with. Great delivery and enjoyable arrangement to enhance a truly fun song.

June 2007 FAM Track Comments -- Part 3 of 3

* Blink of an Eye by Lynn Carey Saylor: Excellent female vocal matches superbly with the rock instrumentation, and a structure to reel this listener with every verse and chorus.
* Alone in a Box by Rey Varela: Soft, delicate intro laced with soothing electronic guitar playing, easy moving drums and instrumentation, and vocals to match lend to this track being suitable for reflection on life or for simple relaxation, and would be a most suitable play on any stereo, indoors or out. The change in drum rhythm was hardly noticeable as it snuck from light and jazzy to marching -- a superb contrast that came to becoming a bright and healthy mix, without losing any of the soothing ambience. Very pleasing to the ears.
* Summer Breeze by Stefan Leipziger: A wonderful acoustic intro captures the ears instantly. Soft, light, and a clarity in the strings during fingerpicking render this track true to its title, for it really was much like listening to a soft Summer Breeze delicately playing and whispering with the breath of strings to tickle mother natures finest, along with one's heart and mind. It's enough to cause a wild beast to sigh and sleep with truly pleasant dreams.
* (Temporarily) Bad Dream 2nd coming (PA) by Suspeckt: A Parental Advisory rap track that was like two tracks in one. A harsh message from an unborn child to its mother in the first half, detailing some of the more common crime and punishment experiences with a most eery effect from the childlike voices heard in the arrangement. The second half was perhaps a bit ambiguous, with biblical references, that carried same emotional ambience as the first half.
* The Silver Cord by Watsonica: Beautiful vocals layered well in a mix of clear acoustic play and smooth beat rhythm that when combined with a catchy verse and chorus structure cause an attentive audience from most any ear lending a first listen, and a deep reflective one during multiple plays to follow. Soothing, relaxing, and deep in meaning.
