Me & Jeremy is a 4 piece rock band influenced by Lagwagon, The Smiths, Simon & Garfunkel, and Radiohead. Their first independently released 15 song LP received airplay on over 130 college stations during the spring of '99 despite the fact that it was recorded live in their living room! In a little more than 2 years they have had the opportunity to tour the East Coast US and to work with notable acts such as Blink 182, Parlaiment Funkadelic, The Fixx, The Amazing Royal Crowns, Badfinger, Swerve Driver, Sloan, Bim Skala Bim, Blue Oyster Cult, Samiam, Sprung Monkey and more. They also have had the privalege of being selected and winning several music contests and chosen to showcase some cutting-edge music conferences. Me & Jeremy is currently working on a new album to be release in Sept. of '99. It takes a slight stylistic departure from their first release but still contains a tasteful selection of catchy hooks. The band also has plans for some touring in parts of Canada and The Northeast US for the fall of '99, and has high hopes to continue their journey through the world of original music. Take a look for yourself and see if you don't smile just a little.
Band/artist history
Formed Summer of '99 for a Battle of the Bands. Since then it's been one interesting ride. Email us if you really care to hear more.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Loosely based out of Albany, NY. They believe that their local scene is ready for something big. They site several things as big moments: 1. Their first big festival in Canada with The Fixx - It made them realize why they do it. 2. An unexpectedly good performance in front of a bunch mean looking kids at a ska show in Poughkeepsie, NY. They realized they can play any crowd without being afraid. 3. Opening for Canadian legends Sloan. 4. Their first east coast tour. 5. Meeting Blink-182, The Amazing Royal Crowns, Sloan, etc.
