Meatbox, a three-piece funkadelic, hard groovin' band who has been tearing up Raleigh's rock scene for several years is too punky & funky for that. Chili Peppers-meets-Stevie Ray-meets-Nine Inch Nails-sound. Definitely not living up to it's moniker, this hot, funky fresh, punk-riddled, riotous rock-'n'-roll trio will set fire to your play list. Meatbox released their first CD under Sonic Wave Disc, "9-VOLT" in 1995 which had amazing impact, considering the small scope of thier distributing power. Maintaining Top Five requested band on ABC College Radio Netwok "Z-ROCK", speckling the GAVIN Report with up to four singles while receiving rave reviews from CMJ, HARD REPORT, and a whole pig pen of smaller regional mags, are just a few accomplishments to take into consideration. 20 different radio markets across the country were calling in to request MORE MEAT! People were walking into TOWER RECORDS looking for Meatbox, bu twith Sonic Wave's small distribution, there was no meat to be found. Hopefully in Aprill of 2000, there will be a better distribution system.Have you performed in front of an audience?Expect to see world class MEATBOX shows beginning in May 2000.
