Strip
Strip is the most favorable and diverse emcee to set foot into the hip-hop rap industry. As a rapper and entertainer, Strip brings a powerful message and a refreshing forum of truth that is much needed in todays music world.
At the early age of eight, Strip began his reign as a rapper and influential member of his community. The alias, Strip, is a derivative of his last name, Striplin, given its legendary touch by his father, Steve Striplin, of the 70s solid gold recording group Natural Four. With Strips dad being his sole musical influence, Strip was able to tap into his ability to sing at the age of three years old. Since his dads passing in June of 2005 and the untimely death of two of his brothers, Strip continues to carry on the legacy of excellence that was passed onto him, equipping him with the ability to reach unimaginable heights in the music industry.
Strip was born and raised in Milpitas, California of the San Francisco Bay Area. Being the youngest of four boys, Strip inherited many traits that assisted him in his abilities to rap, sing, produce and arrange his freshman album as a member of the rap duo, True Hoggs. As a group member and as a solo artist, Strip has opened stages for many like Too Short, RBL Posse, the Street Low Car Show Tour, the Velvet Lounge of San Francisco and Club Four, just to name a few. Strips musical drive and persistence to create a financial pipeline and legacy of truth for his children, all give his music its attractive rhythm that captures the ears of all who listen.
Up and coming is Strips debut solo album entitled, Take It All Off or T.I.A.O. for short. With appearances by local artists like Doc of True Hoggs, Dell Feddi, and Royo T, this album will feature songs like The Wanna, Your Dog and The Code, for starters. T.I.A.O. is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2006 and will blaze this hip-hop industry with fire and desire in its truest form.
