I started rapping in 1995 with a group called Rhyme Nursery formed by then students at the Unversity of Pretoria (Tsietsi "Funkiest _T, Rhine, Jose and Masindi). At most we did demos and jingles for the local campus radio station Radio Tuks.
At competion of my degree, I moved to Queenstown to live with my nother, that is when I hooked up with an old school friend Mkhayisi aka Magnanimus King, who was in a crew called M-Squad in Bisho together with Maledz, and Mthura.... This is where i honed my skills as an emcee.
Later in Queenstown I hooked up with Fabba Jnr, Amanda and Cone to form Blank Space( A crew with no name). The group was later split and I contunied with Cone, opening for groups such as Bongo Maffin and Xolani Kemka at local gigs. We also travelled with the local groups to Engcobo where we showcased our skills among others to CKI DJ Pastor.
It was late in 2000 when I became a Christian and stopped rapping, I later started working on my craft with the aim of Glorifying God and leading others to Jesus. in 2003, I got a call from Floyd Makhaya whom i had been with at vasity. in June 2003 work on "everyverserhymes" - ISSACHAR'S debut album.
The album, dubbed the first full length Christian Rap Album in South Africa featured African Artists such as Andre Katombe from DRC and the late prolific rapper Tafadzwa Uzande (aka Uzz) from Zimbabwe. The album also featured a remix of "Without You" originally composed by Janine Price, also featured in the remix.
The Album sales were very dissapointing. "TO me, this was a learning process". the album was practically self produced with the Help of C-Jay and His superhuma productions crew.
I am now stationed in Queenstown building a recording studio, working on a plan to take over the world..... for Christ. I am also working on a follow through of our fist album..
Most of the time is in churches.....
I am working at breaking into the hip hop scene... I visit a local hip hop spot at TWISTERS now and then..... (whatch this space as the plan unfolds)
Jesus Christ.... Do not be fooled... that is a very broad influence.
