Billboard Magazine: "Mary-Kathryn is a gifted singer/songwriter whose music resonates with warmth and a hope-filled charm. On her latest offering for San Antonio-based Rhythm House Records, producer Roy Salmond dresses her pensive lyrics in a variety of musical styles. The opening cut, Let Us Praise, has a decidedly Middle Eastern flavor. Unto The Least Of These has a polished folkie feel. Throughout the project, Salmond incorporates instruments not commonly heard on contemporary Christian albums, such as sitar, ukulele, glockenspiel, and penny whistle. But the most affecting instrument on the album is Mary-Kathryns lovely voice. Theres a purity and clarity of tone that makes for soothing listening. Among the best cuts are Walking On Water, Savior, Light Up The Darkness, and Illuminate Me. "Creativity is expensive currency in an artists life. Given the highly predictable nature of pop music, rarely does an artist meld together extraordinary bursts of imagination and still stay within the confines of the marketplace." David Bunker, A&R Exec.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
I mainly have enjoyed singing live at outdoor festivals, in prisons, in churches and performance venues. I really love going out with my band and sharing the music with anyone who will listen. There are too many special moments to share. I've been doing it for 12 years. Lots of touring road stories and just people stories that are pretty priceless!
Your musical influences
Many, many influences from nearly every genre. My taste in music is very ecclectic.
What equipment do you use?
Keyboard for songwriting. Then, I carry my vision and sound ideas - what I'm hearing in my head - to my producer and musicians who bring it all to life. When playing live I use a hand drum, rainstick and Shure 58.
Anything else?
Creating music and performing live are what fulfill me above all else. It's who I am and what I desire to share with others. My family supports my calling and encourages me to go beyond what I believe in myself. I couldn't ask for more than that.
