Baby, you've changed my life Baby, you've changed my life
The CD Album OUT OF THE BLUE, produced in Nashville by Gary Carter, is a collection of songs, all penned by Marty himself, that reflect the real sense of versatility that Marty Rivers’ music has to offer.
The title track along with the ballads "Baby, you’ve changed my life" and "A lonely star" uncover Marty’s more romantic side with "Call Colorado" being the most laid-back song on the album, a deep contrast from the track "I’m available" which is a real country rocker.
The songs "Mexican vacation" and "Made in Mexico" reveal the artist‘s Latin music influence while his island upbringing was the inspiration behind "Paceville".
The beauty of freedom is celebrated in "So good to be free" while the joy of redemption is delivered in the spiritual song "Blinded".
The track "Teasin’ kind of woman" completes this album with its raw honky-tonk sound.
Marty’s new album is indeed a unique collection of songs that Marty is so excited to share with you all.Band/artist history
Being born in a musical family, singer-songwriter Marty Rivers was drawn into music from a very early age by listening attentively to his grandfather playing guitar in the little bar next to the family home. Marty, who had his first piano lesson when only 4 years old often says that “I’ve been singing and playing music since I remember and I was very lucky that I was surrounded with family who were always so supportive”.
At the age of 13, young Marty took part in a singers festival in his native island of Malta and won with the Conway Twitty classic ‘It’s only make Believe’ despite being the only non-adult taking part. It was around this time that Marty formed his first band and started performing in various bars and venues all over.
It was the beginning of a long road that has nonetheless brought him satisfaction and helped him develop his abilities as a performer.
Although his passion for country music has been within him since childhood, he ventured into other styles of music which developed in him a sense of versatility that is so evident in his music today: versatility in the way he writes his songs and also in the way he delivers them. The first collection of songs was released in Marty’s debut self-titled album with a number of tracks being released as radio singles by Western Star Records under the direction of the late Col. Roger Blair, whom Marty met in Nashville during one of his live shows. These singles charted high on various country radio charts including a Swedish number 1 in 2006 with ‘Queen of my Heart’. ‘Sweet Country Music’ also charted high on the worldwide mainstream and independent Country Radio charts.
Marty’s new album, ‘Out of the Blue’, is another collection of great songs all co-written by Marty himself together with Joe Spiteri. Songs that reflect the various musical influences that left such a blueprint on Marty’s unique style.: from the Latin feeling to the island influence, from a romantic ballad to a country rocker, Marty’s got it all!Contact
