As a young boy Marlon vans dream was always to become a singer. His teenage years saw the beginning of what was to become a life long passion. As a teenager, Marlon van then started his own band, which went on for a number of years. At the age of 21 Marlon was giving an opportunity to become a member a well-known Christian band called MIC. During his time in Mic all his dreams became a reality. He traveled extensively and had an opportunity to see many different countries but most of all see how God is changing lives throughout the world. After being in the band for 5 years Marlon realized that God was calling him into a new season. In November 2005 Marlon left the band Mic and is now pursuing his solo career. In 2004 Marlon released his debut album called NOBODY ELSE witch topped the charts on the East Coast radios SA top 9 at 9. Marlons new album is already topping the charts on Kaya Fm and other major main stream radio stations. Marlon has now moved to Johannesburg where he is currently working for Rhema South Ministries. He has now just completed recording his brand album called YOUR LOVE IS LIKE. Unlike his debut album, Marlon has gotten involved with pretty much the whole of the production of this new album. This album title speaks for itself. It talks about Gods love and how we need to stand strong in our faith. YOUR LOVE IS LIKE is mix of hip-hop fused with r&b and a smooth touch of soul. Its designed to empower people and give them hope in our world today. Marlon vans mission is to continue preaching the gospel through his music, using music as a tool and the word as a foundation.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes I play live and do lots of major events in South Africa
