no thanks uncle joe no thanks uncle joe

if I recall, I wrote this song around 1988 after debating with a guy I met at the U. of Windsor who was a Stalinist (I didn't know any in Canada). Some of the lyrics are a bit awkward, but overall, I'm happy with my experiment in Slavo-Balkan folk.

This was recorded around 1987 at 3am in the production room of CJAM-fm (U. of Windsor) on two Otari (I think) or Revox reel-to-reels. Music from a ghost planet from another galaxy, it borders on musical. To some, perhaps annoying.

my role model my role model

I recorded this song at an old warehouse in Windsor around 1987 or 1988. There was a boy who lived in a rundown place nearby and his dad actually had "Love" and "Hate" tattooed on his knuckles, which inspired this cautionary tale.
