Perhaps in the end, when history is laid bare for all to see, when time unfolds like the firmament, and man retells the deeds of man with scruples, when he will be frank enough, objective enough, conscientious enough, he will say I walked at the beat of my own drum and sang my own tune. The road to life I blazed as I saw fit. Perhaps he will recognize also, as he beholds the glimmering stars of his genius against the vast expanse of his darker feats, that those nuggets of gold are what made it all worth while. Indeed, in these darker times, as the world marches into a new, yet precarious millennium, throbbing with hope, trembling with apprehension, with paranoia, a new star is born to make it all worth while, to make it all meaningful againMake Moves.
Make Moves is the North Star that points the many broken, dispossessed souls to the grander vision of human existence. He has come to dispel our fears to dream, because we fear that the times are unwilling to fulfill our dreams. Make Moves has come to make us conscious of our own part in the tapestry of time, to remind us that we, too, are active creators of the legacy of lifethat we, too, must be stars in the fabric of time, lest we be contributors to its darkness as well. Truth is, Make Moves is not another artist soon to be lost in the midst of the multitudes of Emcees. He is unlike the others that have come before, since they had all been allusions of him. Make Moves is the North Star returning to announce the birth of a movementa revolution in the grand theater of entertainment, namely G4.
G4 is a new movement in human events, one that is greater than the American Dream even, because it does not reaffirm the American Dream, it does not validate the American Dream, it transforms and transcends it, so that the Dream permeates the entire world. No, this Dream belongs not to Americans alone. It is a Natural Dream belonging to all nations. It emboldens all nations, gives all nations one chance to strive at excellence.
It is not simply the language of genius that speaks those lines: Ill strip you of your 50 stars/ Replace them with 50 bars/ To represent your many flaws, for geniuses too are products of human politics. Geniuses too, come out of the womb to ascertain our human needs, our human hopes, our human desiresand our tangible fears. No, this is also an expression of human concern for a nation that proclaims itself the beacon of the world, the buttress against global pandemonium. Believe it! G4 aims to hold America to that standard. So America, brace yourself! Humanity shall speak to you, and you shall answer us. We will shine a light on you; so you best shine brightly. Beware! G4 is militant, reflective, progressive, and hopeful.
