Experimental Sounds

electronica + bumming = ma_nine (ma9). I am an electronica musician, I mix loops and samples from my spare time to make a new set of sounds. I also make background music for projects and other stuff. A Bumming Electronica Thing.
Band/artist history
Back in mid 2002, a friend of mine in college lend me a copy of Sonic Foundry Acid with accompaying countless loops, just to mess, mix and kill time. Later, I already made three independent albums based from whatever things. The first album called "The Manueve Project" was the product of messing and mixing loops and samples from the CD, as well downloading royalty free loops from flashkit.com. The sophomore independent album, called "One Piece Trip", was the most personal album that I created. Every track in this album corresponds with my personal experiences (mostly from high school) even though most of the speech are one-liners. Also during the production of this album I have possessed few amounts of CD loop packs in order to make newer combinations, thus, new set of sounds. My third album, called "Damn Rooming Around", originally referred as "Type AB-Normal", is strictly dance and bass oriented music, no personal touch, yet the album was already used in by my cousin and friends in roadtrips and parties. My latest album, called "The Nocturnalfrolic", an album that was created while also finishing my remaining days in college, is a combination of electronica, reggae, slow rock and even ethnic music. Some of the songs were also used in a fashion show and in some multimedia presentations. Currently, I am finishing my latest independent album called "Le Bum", and I am still freelancing as a background "scorer" for thesis projects and presentations, I gain profit because of a hobby that started just to kill time. Now I might use some of my music in my new job :P
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Nope, I am an independent electronica artist where I just share my music with others, through CD players, through car speakers, through PC speakers, through something something.
Your musical influences
those guys from the underground electronica scene, there are a lot of them and I cant remember their names, especially with the drum n bass
What equipment do you use?
a PC, a sequencer software called Acid/Ejay and a bunch of loops/samples (royalty free)
Anything else?
Bum Now, Work Later, Bum Again
