Hey, my name is Brian "Xavier" Wambold. I mostly go by the name "X". I am 19 years old and live in Orlando, Florida. I am a VERY liberal Christian with some very radical ideas on how to spread the Word of God. I believe the Christian music industry is "preaching to the converted" so to speak. Way too many Christian songs are telling you to praise God and live a life of a better Christian. That's wonderful, I listen to it all the time. But I have a problem that these artists are ONLY singing to the Christians instead of singing to the Unsaved. I believe if Jesus was on this earth here in 2003 that He would not be preaching to the Christians but instead be talking to the unsaved. That's what I try and do with my music. I find INTERESTING forms of music that have a positive and Godly message but at the same time allows the listener to RELATE to my message. I write on a sophisticated level yet on the level that attracts young minds. I write to question the existing beliefs these unsaved people have and start pointing them on the way to God's kingdom. That's my mission and ministry...reaching out to those who need God's love more than anyone.
I hooked up with Garo Lauderback a few months ago and we co-wrote my first hip-hop lyric "Souljah of Christ." I wrote the lyrics and he mixed the beat...I loved working with him, and we've been collaberating ever since.
I have only performed for a small group of 40 or so at an event here at the college I attend. I enjoyed it and received a great applause. I would LOVE to get another gig. Anyone know of anyplace who wants to put on a show with artists like me?!?!?!?
KJ-52, Antonius, Chrystside, and P.O.D. are some of the biggest musical influences to my work. Although the biggest influence is the Souljahz. They provide a wonderful blend of harmonics and hip-hop in their songs that is just untouchable. Their messages are God-inspired and their ministry is reaching millions.
Just some basic studio equipment, my voice, and God. Garo does most the mixing, and God is in charge of the rest!
I hope you enjoy my music. PLEASE drop me a line at ReliantThrone@hotmail.com and tell me what you thought about it! God bless you all. Peace out.
