Lynn Hargrove
Classical bluegrass, plenty of acoustic music for the purist. Lynn was born and raised in the Sandhills of NC, and lives and plays there today.

Lynn is a one-woman band! She plays every instrument on her songs.
She was born and raised in the Sandhills of NC, near Southern Pines.
At an early age Lynn began guitar lessons, and by the age of 15 had started playing in a band doing rock and roll, making a few dollars at high school dances and rec clubs etc.
At age 19, she began learning the banjo and playing around with different groups until the early 80s, when The Sandhills Grass was born, and Lynn played banjo for several years.
The Sandhills Grass was a local bluegrass band playing clubs, festivals, parties, etc., and were also the musical backup for a well known NC clogging group .
The mandolin and fiddle became a part of Lynn's repertoire of bluegrass instruments, along with the upright bass as her love of bluegrass progressed.
Besides bluegrass, Lynn dabbled in country rock as a guitar player and keyboardist for a few years, playing clubs.
Her love for the sound of acoustic instruments and the high lonesome sound of the bluegrass vocals always kept bluegrass close to her heart. Lynn says the music touches her very heart and soul.
A couple of years ago, she discovered a talent as a songwriter and has written several pieces since. Her favorite is Blue Never Looked Good On You.
Lynn has a solo CD, Versatility, that should be released early this summer, featuring Lynn as the one woman band, but she'll get some help from a couple of her friends on vocals and Pete Verges on dobro.
Currently, Lynn is also working with a newly formed group called The Fabulous Grass .Your musical influences
Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, Ralph Stanley, Mac Wiseman and Jimmy Martin, just to name a few.Contact

wonderful songs from such amazing talent. Next to Piedmont, country and acoustic blues, bluegrass is my next favorite type of music. It's the last button I push on Sirius Radio when nothing else suits my mood. It always makes me feel happy when nothing else pleases me. Even the sad songs bring cheer. I'll be adding some of your songs to my radio station soon. Keep up the impressive work! (note, FWI. I've only added my odd songs to my page so far, there's other stuff coming.)
Hee Haw!! Just GREAT! Got ya spinning on Pickin N Grinnin Bluegrass Style Station!
