Band/artist history
My start in composition came in writing silly novelty songs as a child. When I figured out that lyrics were not my forte, I turned to instrumental music, writing heavily videogame-influenced songs until 2000, when I started becoming more serious about composing. My first major piano solo work was finished in early 2002, and won second place Nebraska's state high school composition competition. The first movement of my suite for orchestra was completed late 2002 and saw its first performance in the spring of 2003. I am currently studying composition at the University of Oklahoma.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
You'll often find me parked at the nearest piano, improvising, playing my own compositions, and figuring out some pop/rock songs by ear. As far as conventional live concerts go, I'm pretty much open to anything. Having an audience is good, but so is just playing in the background. Lately I've been playing lunchtime gigs at the OU Union about once a month. If you'd like to book me for weddings, dinner music, or anything else in the Norman/OKC area feel free to send me an e-mail.
