Los Horizontales, a rock band from Dubrovnik, formed in 2005, ceased with its active work in the last months of 2007. Final lineup comprised of:
Krunoslav Pavic (Lead Guitar)
Mihovil Danicic (Bass)
Karmelo Skokandic (Vocals, Rhytm Guitar)
Dario Bandur (Drums).
During their short, but not unfruitful existence as a band, they managed to play quite a few live shows and record a CD, not a bad achievment for a highschool band.
Starting as an instrumental three piece, focus on the music is quite evident, as is the prominence of instrumentals among the recorded work. Asked about the style of music, bassplayer Danicic answered: "We play what we feel like playing, not concerning ourselves with a particular style. If the feeling of the day is anger, we make an angry, heavy song, and if we feel like jamming, so be it. A jam-style song." Lead guitarist Pavic added: "In the end, it's all rock'n'roll!"
The band disbanded due to the departue of two members, singer Skokandic leaving to sail on a long distance transport ship. Last time he called, he was in L.A., having the time of his life. On the other side, Lead Guitarist Pavic moved to the capitol city of Zagreb to study eletronics. It is not known wether he will continue to pursue music. The remaining members still reside in Dubrovnik, supposedly working on a number of projects. Perhaps we will yet hear of them in the future.
