Missing Pieces Missing Pieces
This uses a lot of minor chords with blues and dorian scales inspired by One Man's Band song Behind the Veil
Where Was I? Where Was I?
Where was I when I heard this? Must'a been a dream. A jazzy rhodes piano plays a few blues and dorian scales over m7 chords with banjo behind.
Vibraphone Call Vibraphone Call
Wanna' talk? Give me a call on yer vibraphone. I've got great news ;-)
Outa' Control Outa' Control
The piano players jam outa control. This is heavy non-metal where some strange things happen.
Dueling Ocarinas Dueling Ocarinas
You remember the 'Dueling Banjos'? Well here's two ocarinas dueling it out in slow motion ;-)
Whistle N Flute Whistle N Flute
This piece uses flute and whistle patches playing pentatonic scales over major and minor chords.
Jamba Jamba
This is a jazzy computer program generated piece that has a few suprises. Betcha' never heard anything like this ;-)
Happy Town Happy Town
This is a computer generated composition that cycles through G,F,& Dm chords with a few others thown in.
Rotation Rotation
Computer generated music experiment. This uses a scripted chord progression but otherwise is generated by controlled random algorithms.
TGIF TGIF
This computer generated experiment uses a regular chord progression and some other changes to the algorithm/rules and structure. TGIF :-)
Velocity Velocity
This experiment sounds a lot like the others, sorry, but it uses random velocities for notes and more major chords.
Wheazler Wheazler
Computer generated experiment. Just thought that it sounded like a wheazler, so that's what I called it ;-)
Organ Groove Organ Groove
This experiment uses only Hammond organ, picked bass, and percussion. The other 2 tracks were eliminated. In this case I agree with Emperor Joseph II's famous observation, 'Too many notes, my dear Mozart'. Added a little reverb for depth.
TaxTime TaxTime
This experiment was generated in about 2 seconds by a Java program I've been working on. The MIDI output of the program was then tweaked with a MIDI editor and recorded to MP3 with GoldWave.
