I'm into blues, funk, rock, afro-cuban stuff, anything that grooves. The blues really resonates with me, so that's what I mostly feel compelled to play.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, I go to jams at a couple different bars, usually once a week - I usually sing a few numbers as well. I also jam with friends as often as time will allow.
Everyone should really try to play for people (in front of an audience) for 3 really good reasons: 1) music is supposed to be shared and experienced through performance 2) Your musicianship will improve exponentially and 3) It's a whole lot of fun!
Your musical influences
I picked up a guitar because of Hendrix. Then I went backwards through his influences and have tried to build upon the foundation of american roots music.
What equipment do you use?
Equipment is over-rated, don't get hung up on gear.
