Strangely enough, Little Memphis evolved from a band named Dan D and The Burning Love. Dan LaPorte, out of a deep love of Elvis PresleyÃââ„s music, set out with Todd LeBlanc to form the tribute band. While the tribute shows were fun, exciting and truly rewarding, Dan and Todd wanted to push their musical boundaries even further. They began working on recording a project in Northern Vermont. Once the project was done, they began sending it out to various producers around the country. Shortly thereafter, Dan and Todd received a phone call from Scotty Turner, a well-respected Nashville producer and publisher. Scotty was impressed with the sound of Little Memphis. There began many phone conversations eventually leading to a meeting in Nashville. Scotty presented Dan and Todd with the original material from which they would select their album songs. So in November, 2007, they began recording their first album Let Me Down Easy produced by Scotty Turner (Slim Whitman, Jimmy Bryant, Willie Nelson, Nilsson) and engineered by George Clinton (Shania Twain, Alabama, Martina McBride) at Bayou Studio in Nashville. Lebanon, New Hampshire is home to Little Memphis and they will kick off the new album release in early April with a CD release party held in the Upper Valley. KIXX 100.5 will host the CD release party and play tracks from the CD on the station. Let Me Down Easy is available at digstation.com and cdbaby.com. http://www.littlememphisband.com/ http://www.myspace.com/littlememphiscountry Our My Space click on banner For presskits, photos, and interviews, please contact: Nicole LeBlanc 43 Davis Street, Claremont, NH 03743 Phone 603 543 5930 Email: LittleMemphis@myfairpoint.net
