La'Nique, singer and songwriter, was originally born in Jamaica Queens, NY and she is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. She has captivated an audience since she was a young child.
La'Nique was born with the gift of music and always found a singing outlet whether it was in her bedroom, on the stage at church or in the school choir. Even though she was a born singer, it was not until she began to believe in herself that her music career began to blossom and take form.
At the age of 16, La’Nique started writing her own lyrics and has written her very own hot singles like My Destiny, Picture Perfect Wife and Secret Love Affair. La'Nique has performed on Amateur Night at the world famous Apollo Theatre twice. She was one of the opening acts for 5 time Grammy Nominated, Jazmine Sullivan at The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia, and lastly opened up Dwele.
La'Nique’s music is about reality and the things we go through in life. Like her life, her music is a journey. The heart and flow of her music is unlike anyone else in the industry. Truly, La’Nique is a precious gem waiting to be discovered.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yeah... I've opened for a few local artists out here in VA and 2 National Recording Artists... Jazmine Sullivan & Dwele. There isn't one special moment that I can name right now, because everytime I perform, it's a special moment... I don't take any performance for granted... they all mean so much to me!!!
