JC Maze started as a metal guitarist (15 yrs) in bands such as KRATCHET, SILENCE, & UNDERNEATH. After that he wanted to try something no one else was doing so he began the group OFF THE BEATEN PATH which was an acoustic group w/ JC on guitars & Backing vocals, Jen Lawson on vocals, Aaron Russell on bass and Dean Wildman on keyboards. After thr demise of OTBP in late 2003, JC moved to South Fla. and began recording his solo CD's MANGROVES & DEAD BODIES (2004) with the assistance of Aaron Russell. It was Recorded in Ga. & Fla. and is still doin' fine. IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT was released in 2005. Per production has now begun for a 2006 release for the 3rd CD called "The Hardest Of Septembers", look for snake peaks over the next year of rough, unmastered tracks from the 3rd CD.Your musical influences

InsecureHola fellow Komatoastians,
JC here hoping you all had a great holiday season. I am currently trying to put together a New Years show in a location as yet to be determined so check back to see if it goes through. The numbers on this site will be far beyond any of my exspectaions this year. For this i thank all of you greatly. "And I' spent about 3 months in the top 20 and it's all because of your listens & downloads. Of course i always post the year end numbers at our YAHOO group site so look for that & if you're just bored, do a google search on KOMATOAST and you'll find us all over the world. Once again, thank you for all you do. Without you i am just another struggling musican.

www.myspace.com/jcmazeJust thought i'd drop a line sayin' "thanx" to those who've been stoppin' by. This site should do double + what it did last year! too cool! and i would let you know that i've added a couple of tracks to the music section. One from the newest CD being recorded as we speak and some old that just didn't make the cut. Maybe you'll enjoy 'em. I hate to hold back any kind of music. Also, stop by the Myspace site to get intouch with the band, get up to date info and hear some tunes. Thanx to all who've stop'd by and maybe soon we'll see enough plays on a tune to push it to #1....it's all up to you!Hey man,
I liked "Gone but not Forgotten"
Nice sound to it.
Cheers,
MattAll comments (23)

Here's a few new tidbits to go over... First, KOMATOAST is getting web radio airplay at http://www.drinkandrock.com, it's free comedy talk radio but they play selections of tunes between sketches so check them out and request, request, request KOMATOAST. Second, I'm working with several spoken word artists to produce a Spoken Word CD with KOMATOAST as the music. It'll be stripped down versions of the tunes you know and love, but with some new twists to them. I'll post more details as this project begins to take form. So far there's 3 artists from 2 states involved. Anywho, just keeping the loyal KOMATOASTIANS informed. Thanx for checkin' in and as usual, SPREAD THE WORD!
