Kince is a 19-year old songwriter/singer who started out playing for poetry readings and for friends. His goal is to get his music out, and uploading his songs to the Internet is one way he does it best.
Music runs in my blood, literally. My mum was in a few showbands in the seventies and eighties and her mum before her was a concert singer. I may not have inherited the voice but I'd like to think that I inherited the musicality.
I started writing songs in my head as early as 12, but they were just melodies and stuff. At 13, I was able to write a piano riff for one (which I used in a short class play I wrote), and at 14, I learned to play the guitar. From there on, things got a little easier.
I started out playing for poetry readings and college events. From there, I moved on to playing one or two sets a night at various bars until I eventually got my own night at an eatery by the bay.
Yes, though I haven't been playing regularly as of late. In the Philippines, I have played at places such as Arnaiz, College of Economics, (EspaƱa), (Intramuros), (Malate), and (Katipunan), as well as a regular gig at by Manila Bay.
Now, in the US, I'm in search of places that will let me play on my own. It's hard to book gigs when you don't have a band.
