Another adventure in double-tapping improv. Little rough, but wanted to get the idea of the melody out of my head so I can improve upon it later.
Tap Trap (jam - rough) Tap Trap (jam - rough)
I was messing around in D, and heard a good groove as I was playing, so I turned on the mic and decided to record.
I'm a solo bassit who loves to just get out in front of people and play. I'm part of a few bands, but they have their own sites, I'd like to try and put my solo work out there, and for ya'll who really love music to tell me what you think, and give me some constructive criticism. Rather than trying to be the next Victor Wooten or Jaco Pastorius, I want to see what ya'll think I should work on, so I can be a talented bass by my own name someday (hopefully).Band/artist history
I started playing bass in September of 2002 because a friend needed a bassist for his punk band. Ever since then I've been playing everyday, studying the work of Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, and Flea (of course, haha) and trying to make myself a quick, precise, and funky player.Have you performed in front of an audience?I love to play live, and usually open for any bands my friends have. I sometimes play at a jazz club in the area, as well. One time, I got a standing ovation for finger-picking (banjo style) a song on the higher strings of my 7-string bass.
Your musical influences
Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, Flea, Marcus Miller, Ryan Martinie (Mudvayne), Shavo Odadjian, Ray Brown, Les Claypool, Ron Carter. What equipment do you use?
I don't really play that type of music, but I'd just make sure to have tone and bass/mid up.Anything else?
Hmmmmm, well, I have three basses, and a SWR Workingman's stack (1x15,4x10,4004 head) and I use DR Strings with Bartolini pick-ups.Contact

Hey Man
I am looking for a badass bass player for a new record I am putting together.I am a jazz/fusion guitarist.I am currently living in Southern Indiana and the drummer I use is in Boston,so I am looking for a bass player that has a home studio to record the bass tracks and then send them to me and I cann load them up in my studio and lay down all my final guitar tracks.I have 4 tunes ready for bass so far and am continuing to write more for the new record which I hope to release in the early winter.I do have some music on my soundclick site from previous records as well as a few solo things. The new material is much better than whats up there now but at least if you listen to some of the stuff on soundclick you will get a good idea about what I do and what type of player I am.Check out "Lunchbox" and "Courage" those are some of the better tunes from the last record. So anyway if you are interested in trying to do some recording please let me know. What I would do if you are interes
start with the blues before you go into the jazzz! Heey heey the blues is allright! (albert collins' bassplayer is great etc.)Good luck!
