Kevin Fisher
I'm primarily a guitarist and can play bass. I can also (barely) sing. I'm trying to expand more to listen to different genres other than metal. As an artist,

Remix of the Tetris song. Incorporates some electro and theres a nasty dubsteppy drop at the end. This is still the phase where I'm just writing stuff to test out new presets in Massive and whatnot cuz I'm not used to making electronic music.

This page is about me trying to get all of my musical ideas out into the world. So I'm starting here. Anyways, here's what you'll find music wise on here: anything. I've played guitar for a little while now (primarily metal) and I never bothered to listen to other genres of music like jazz, blues, classical, acoustic, etc. So I'm just starting to get into all of that now. But I guess it just hit me one day. In order to truly be a very good, well-rounded musician, I won't allow myself to be bounded by a "genre". Now I'm not saying that people who play one genre of music aren't good. But I just don't want to have a poppy acoustic riff in my head and not be able to share it with other people. So (hopefully) whatever comes to my head, I'll try to record it and put it on here.
I played bass in the band Carry the Day before. We played lots of shows, and we started out playing often at this big venue called the Pearl Room (don't ask me how we started there haha) and we often opened up for bands like 36 Crazyfists ans Walls of Jericho (can't think of anymore off the top of my head). But so far my most memorable moment onstage was opening for Parkway Drive and we played infront of like 200 kids. The crazy thing is we actually had them interested and they were moshing and everything lol. To check it out, go to youtube and type in CTD parkway. I'm the dude with the black shag and red bass and headbanging like none other lol.
I have maaaany influences, but I don't feel like listing them cuz I try to write in different genres.
Well I'll put it here. But it's nothing worth boasting about, so this is mainly for humerous purposes lol. I have a used ESP something-er-other tuned down to Bt. I have a Fender Strat tuned down to C and was made in Japan, so no it's not authentic. Both these guitars also have strings that are like 4 months old because I'm too lazy/don't have money to buy something as necessary as strings lol. I'm running that through a blast-from-the-past half solid state half tube Crate out of like '92, which if I turn up just barely loud enough to be heard at practice, it's innards rattle viciously. So yea, that's my rig.
If you have problems writing music here's a tip. I thought of it a little while ago, and to my surprise Bulb from Periphery also said it. Just write whatever comes out naturally. You'll be surprised what'll happen. I remember, when I would write songs, I would write how a certain band would write. For example, I'd be listening to Sevendust all day. Then I'd write a riff later that sounds like Sevendust. When I got to the verse, chorus, or bridge, I'd say to myself "what would Sevendust put here". Completely wrong. Now that I'm maturing as a writer, I write riffs that just sound good to me. Then when those song parts come up, I ask "what would sound good here to me".
