Kenny Martin is a Las Vegas musician from the SF Bay Area who has his musical roots from the Church. Born and raised into a family full of musicians and singers, Kenny took to playing before he was five years old. His first experiences in music came from his interest in playing drums. When he was four years old, his father, Pastor Kenneth Martin, Sr. purchased a used set for him and, Kenny began to play almost immediately. After witnessing his obvious sincere desire to persue playing, His father then bought him his first new set for Christmas when he was five years old. Kenny played those drums every chance he could get, taking them to church services, all over the bay area. Whenever his father, a pianist and a lead guitar player himself, would go to other church services, Kenny would be encouraged to tag along bringing his drums with him. If the church did not have a drum set he brougt his in. If they were lacking a drummer, Kenny played. Even if all bases were covered, Kenny would sit in anticpation with sticks in hand, ready to give service when needed and or allowed.

From a young child, Kenny's heart has been turned towards Christ and music ministry. Many witnessed this young man's genuine desire to play to God's glory from his youth. Kenny recalls beginning his singing when He and his siblinbgs would travel around the bay area and often in other states, singing the gospel while their father accompanied them on the piano. My dad had us rehearsing in the living room every week. We would laugh and play and sometimes bicker and complain, but he , although sometimes in frustration, continued to push us to sing and practice music.

Today Kenny Martin Jr. is an accomplished Pianist/Organist/keyboardist from the San Francisco Bay Area, (more specifically Vallejo, CA). He has been playing in the church for over 12 years and has released an independent project entitled: "I Heard Him SaySession 1-Christmas"

and will release his second project fall 2003 entitled "Melody MessagesSession II." He styles himself after artists like Ben Tankard, Richard Smallwood, and Thomas whitfield. If you enjoy a smooth Melodic, rhythmic mood, check out Kenny Martin Jr.
