Kelsey Duran is an R&B singer, songwriter, rapper, producer and dancer from New York. He began singing and dancing at the age of 5 years old. At 12 years old, he she to write his own songs and realized he loved expressing his feelings in his music and thats when he knew that music became a reality for him as well as a passion. Six years late, recorded his first song Take It Slow, a song he co-wrote which became a local hit in his hometown. In 2007, Kelsey Duran auditioned for P.Diddy's Making The Band 4 getting through to the second round of the competition. Although he did not make the band ultimately, Kelsey was not discouraged, but only more motivated to achieve his goal of becoming a professional singer. In early 2009, after relocating to Las Vegas Kelsey was quickly signed to Azad Records, an urban indie record label. He recorded but never released his debut album titled My Story. While in Vegas he opened for Marques Houston at The Mandalay Bay gaining more exposure locally and networking to get his name out more. Due to lack of promotion and money issues within the label, in early 2012 Kelsey Duran was granted his request to be released (with all rights to his music). Today, Kelsey Duran is working on his own music soon to be released via his own music company titled Mindset Entertainment. I've been working hard since the age of 12 years old. I wanted to work on getting better on my vocals and just overall skills as a unique songwriter and it's really helped out.
I was born with a natural gift, but I feel like you can always improve on something so, I continue to work on what doesn't and keep doing what does work, but ten times better and harder.Have you performed in front of an audience?Opening up for Marques Houston inside Mandalay Bay for an event that took place. It was a big deal for me because I grew up watching him and always liked the way he performed and could move a crowd. It was a great experience for more exposure.
