Hello/Enjoy. This project consists of mostly lo-fi acoustic stuff I wrote. I have new equipment, so look out for some more fully formed pieces.Band/artist history
I started writing music (in a coherent manner) around Christmas 2003 when it seemed my old band was about to split up. I got some recording equipment in February the following year, and finally figured out how to use it in June, when I should have been studying for my exams...Have you performed in front of an audience?I don't play live, my songs are all layered and I can't play all the parts at once! Maybe one fine day, if I find some people willing to play.
Your musical influences
I guess I'm influenced by a lot, but I'm not quite sure how to express it. I guess a lot of the arrangement was inspired by my discovery of Death Cab for Cutie, the guts to sing probably came from listening to Bright Eyes, as for the actual style of the music, I don't know, probably Sonic Youth and At the Drive-in for pure kinetic randomness.What equipment do you use?
I use my PC, a Tascam US-122 external soundcard, an Edirol PCR-30 midi keyboard, a Casio PT-80 keyboard and a Samson CO1 studio condenser mic. Guitar wise I use a Crafter Ml-Rose special edition, occasionally my old Epiphone SG or Fender Telecaster. Nowadays I use Garageband on my macintosh to record stuff, so less PC action as of late.Anything else?
