KATALEPSY IS A GRIND-CORE BAND FROM BOLIVIABand/artist history
Katalepsy is a grind band from Bolivia, it was formed some day in 2000, after the broke up of Embalmer Machine.. at the beginig the line up was: Alberto (guitar/vox); Harold (bass); Rodrigo (guitar) after some time searching a human drummer, we decided to use a drum-machine.
After some mounths playing local gigs Rodrigo left the band for personal reasons and the music style changed... we decided to play more loud and noisy.
At the end of 2000 year, we started the realization of our first demo, the local scene doesn't showed interest to help us, so we do it with out them, the PROMO-TAPE were recordered 100% in home (D.I.Y.) with out mixers or console,no tracks, al were recordered in life, the demo has 13 songs, 3 of them are ours and the rest are covers.
The demo had and still have good acceptance around the world and we received offers to make splits, compilations, tributes and some gigs around Bolivia.
In 2002 join some compilations like: "Smoldering humanity comp" of Carncer removal prod. "A tribute to Unholy Grave", "Rescued from life records comp.","Compulsive blasphemer records comp." and others.
At the end of 2002 year we started working in a Official cd, the work of composing and recordering in now finished, we're now doing the mix and production we hope to lounch it in 2004, the cd will be called "Repress the Masses" inspired in the sitation of our country, the line up for that is: Alberto (guitars/vox/drum-programing) and Harold (bass/vox/drum-programing).Have you performed in front of an audience?YES WE DO, IN OUR CITY, AND IN EVERY WHERE WE CAN DO
