Industrial Metal

Kankles is: 'Hot' Karl Brown - vocals, guitars, solos, programming Marco 'Dirty' Sanchez - vocals, guitars, programming Richard Phister - vocals, live electronics, mixology Kankles, are the trailblazers* of conceptual avant cybergrind, and they hail from the distant future, where they are actually a side project of another band from even further in the future. Here in the past, they reside in Portland, Oregon, home of the infamous hipster. Their main purpose here is to inform those of you with massively gauged ears and chestpiece tattoos, that in 2030, you guys look like complete and utter fornocaps (or as you say in your time: 'f**ktards'). *Karl set a trail ablaze once (then quickly extinguished it) so that term could be used here.
Band/artist history
Karl Brown met Marco 'Dirty' Sanchez on the internet (a.k.a. where everyone meets each other, like there's a "real world"), they got drunk, Dirty said to Karl, "By the way, I don't know if you know it or not, but you're in Kankles!" True story.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Nah. We're too f**kin' lazy to get enough shit together to play live. Maybe after we get an EP together long enough to constitute a set, we can go and offend local venues one-by-one until no one will have us... and then I can put, "No, not anymore, I had a 'special moment' on a girls chest on stage and Portland banned us from ever playing out again." in this section.
Your musical influences
Dethklok, Stinkhole, Purple Filth, Cryptic Coroner, Maggotdeath, Godscock, Chemical Toilet, Wylde Stallions, Autobahn, The Gods Of Thunder, The Crucifolks, Everyone Gets Laid, Infant Sorrow, Spinal Tap, Electric Mayhem, The Lone Rangers, Ocean Bottom Nightmare Band
What equipment do you use?
Lots of digital hardware and computer/VSTi stuff. Analog purists: Feel free to write me a letter on your typewriter, take it to the post office and send it to me in the mail. I'll be sure to scan it in, and then promptly delete it. Anyway, mainly Line 6 stuff on the guitars: X3 Pro's and an M13. Source Audio's awesome Multiwave Distortion. Korg synths. FL Studio 9 for the arrangements & production, with Superior Drummer 2 for the insane drums (no, we don't have a drummer that can actually play that fast). Guitars are pretty much unimportant. Distort - saturate - rinse - repeat.
Anything else?
Yeah, scene music f**king sucks! I hope you all die horrible, slow deaths.
