I make noise, with broken things, misused things, and things I created.
No, I will not make a version with a beat so you can dance to it.
Yes, I realize that this attitude will get me neither money nor sex.
Band/artist history
I have been making noise since 1992.
It is still my favorite music.
My hearing is not totally gone yet.
Sometimes friends or acquantances or crushes or lovers help me make music.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I have been known to puke into a microphone, I have played in venues from Portland, OR to Portland, ME. Once an audience started arguing loudly whether to unplug my amp. Another time they just turned on a Soundgarden CD and drowned me out. I dream of stage shows with more blood in them (not that I want them neccisarily... but they are always in my dreams).
Your musical influences
My major influences:
Luigi Russolo
John Cage
Herbert Brun
Iannis Xenakis
Fred Frith
Bob Ostertag
Zeena Parkins
Slayer
Masami Akita (Merzbow)
Aube
Butthole Surfers
Diesel Guitars
Prick Decay

Violent Onsen Geisha
John Weise (Bastard Noise)

Painful sounds in general.
What equipment do you use?
Laptop running Agnula Demudi (an Italian music OS derived from Debian Linux).
Contact Microphones.
PD (puredata; a graphicly oriented unit-generator based sound synthesis environment) communicating via sockets with CMUCL/LTK (Carnagie-Mellon University Common Lisp; a language tailored for mathematics, artificial intelligence, and creation of custom domain specific langauges. LTK Lisp ToolKit; controls a TCL/TK process from lisp, provides lisp with a portable and flexible graphic interface), PD as a sythesis engine, while CMUCL handles user input and automated parameter control. As you could probably guess, I write the Lisp and arrange the PD patches by hand.
Anything else?
You may want to bring earplugs.
