Ever since its conception in the summer of 2005, Junkyard Groove (JYG) was nothing but your silly sense of humour trying to be creative, in a country with dozens and dozens of rock bands, India. JYG is Ameeth Thomas on vocals and rhythm, Siddharth Srinivasan on guitars, Craig Maxworth on the bass and Jeremiah John on the drums;
Junkyard Groove has come a long way since, winning recognition at a remarkable pace. From sweeping away the competition and then headlining at many noted music festivals across India, JYG has made its mark internationally †recently participating in the Dubai Desert Rock Festival 2007 and playing with rock and metal legends like Iron Maiden, Robert Plant, Incubus, The Prodigy, Mastodon, Inflames and so on.
As winners of Shamal 2006, a talent hunt featuring bands from across Asia and the Middle east, JYG has landed a recording contract with U.S based Creative Kingdom Studios and will release their first album in October 2007.

Junkyard groove blew my mind the first time i heard them in strawberry fields. There own comps are amazing. Ameeth is the Indian Eddie wedder!
Junkyard Groove is one of the freshest bands out there. We need more out of the norm bands, and this is one of them.
