With the debut of his demo in August of 2003, J Scott has been booking shows for the Fall and also his Spring semester tour.
J Scotts style dabbles in acoustic folk, blues, rock, and pop genres bringing variety to the sound. The music takes an in depth look at the inner weavings of J Scotts mind and combines with the layerings of his acoustic guitar to form a sound that is kinetic. His vocals are dynamic in personality and create a velvet texture over top the rhythmic guitar.
While finishing out school in 2003, J Scott played shows here and there on his home campus at Bradley. One performance brought him before an audience of 200 at an annual talent show put on by the University Chorale in February of 2003. His act was met with much interest by the attendees. It was much anticipated, then, when J Scott was booked on the student circuit that same spring in April.
Going into the Fall of 2003, J Scott spread his music further by playing in many off-campus gigs within Peoria as well as performances reaching other parts of Central Illinois. He has joined the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA) for the Northern Plains region and is preparing himself for the conference in April of 2004 where he hopes to gain a new market in order to bring his music to a new fan base.
J Scott is now in the process of booking shows for the spring and summer in response to the increasing fan base brought about by his shows last semester and has already booked nearly a dozen shows for 2004.Have you performed in front of an audience?yes, very much so. Mostly in the Illinois area right now, but I am spreading my wings out farther into the US. If you like me, contact me with a venue you think I should play at!!
