Beats eveywhere, meticulously listed samples, remixes albums... : this is how it looks like to be inside Jr EakEe's computer. Hip-Hop lover from the start, nourished by the programms hosted by Dee Nasty and Lord Zelko on the French "Radio Nova", he makes his first steps into music at the age of 17 with a second hand Amiga.
Toaster at the beginning and then Mc, he gets more and more interested in Soul and Jazz, his everlasting sources of inspiration. Then, he spends hours analyzing James Brown’s drums sequences, Curtis Mayfield’s arrangements or John Coltrane’s solos. His productions are here to prove : they all have this so unique trainy groove and they're all made from these so meticulous sample cuts and these incomparable bass lines.
In 2001, under the name of Synopsis, Jr EakEe and his close friend Saneyes launch an EP called « Rêvolutionnaires ». This first release also coincides with the time where the two guys meet Gyl who was sound engineer in the studio Interference at that time. This collaboration between the three guys and then Apkass finally gives birth to what will later on become the crew and label Taste Press.
Above all, this thirty-year-old man is a hard worker who uncommonly mixes quality and quantity. The common point between « Sound Therapy » and Jr EakEe’s forthcoming instrumental album is a deep need for quality in all the arrangements.
